Research Paper Topics On Human TraffickingHuman trafficking is a growing problem in the United States. It is estimated that a whopping 40 million people from all over the world are in slavery today, many of them exploited through sexual exploitation and forced labor. Many factors contribute to the rise of human trafficking in the United States. One of the most compelling reasons is the widespread acceptance of gender-based wage discrimination, which makes it easier for companies to exploit women and minorities, as well as those who are technically working in jobs but have no legitimate job.To help identify issues related to these trends, researchers, activists, and activists can be using research paper topics that are tailored to suit their particular needs. These different issues may include gender and race disparity in pay, gender disparity in workforce composition, the rise of unpaid domestic labor and child labor, and the role of women in industries that produce goods in the devel oping world. There are other issues as well that may be more challenging, such as gender imbalance in the Asian American population or how women are treated as employers by Middle Easterners.Even when people are not directly victimized by human trafficking, there are economic and social factors that may lead to their predicament. This includes wage discrimination, unpaid domestic labor, and the use of immigrants in highly dangerous jobs. In addition, there are also issues that require studies on cultural and linguistic differences, migration patterns, and religious and ethnic differences.Poverty is an issue as well, because many of these individuals are at a disadvantage because of their education and skill set. Others are not even aware that they are being forced into slavery. The reason for this is that their organizations do not report cases of this kind.Poverty and welfare often make it easier for trafficking to flourish in an economy, and many people are unaware that their soci eties have issues with poverty. When such people dofind out about these problems, they may choose to emigrate. So it is imperative that these situations are monitored carefully. However, even if there are no documented cases of human trafficking in your society, there may still be issues that need to be addressed. However, these issues can be overlooked because the impact on low-income communities is underestimated. Therefore, studies that address issues related to these aspects of society may also be crucial in the fight against human trafficking. Finally, it is essential that researchers and activists take note of these particular research paper topics. Even if no one has been physically exploited, there are still potential problems that may arise in the future. Especially when you ve just graduated high school and you have so much other stuff on your plate. I remember when I graduated high school, the only thing I wanted to know was What will it take for me to get a college degree. Whatever it was, I was prepared to do it. So I applied for financial assistance using FAFSA (the letters stand for Free Application for Federal Assistance in case you were wondering). Then once I actually got to college, I was ushered into a room and made to sign all this paperwork with the underlining idea being: Unless you re going to pay your tuition cash or through some scholarship fund, you need to sign these student loan documents. I ended up signing and practically forgot about my student loans until I graduated. Then I got the bill.... OH BOY! I believe everyone should know something about student loans before signing your life away... I mean the loan documents. The Unredeemed Captive Essay - 1815 Words
Haley Eppes Dr. Quirk HST 3 September 2014 The Unredeemed Captive- A Family Story From Early America, John Demos, Vintage Books, April 1995, New York Finding out who you are, through hardships and ease, is the main focus of this book. John Demos wanted to write a story, and in this story the main focus is figuring out how to adapt to your surroundings and the circumstances that you have cannot control to best survive. With this he weaved a tale about a colonial town that was not prepared for what happens to it, and its residents. The story starts in Deerfield, in October of 1703 with a time of trouble. The town is in danger of being ransacked and taken over by Indians. The townspeople contemplate reinforcing their stockade but beforeâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦They did this twice before staying a whole winter in 1743. After that Indian attacks began again in the colonies and Euniceââ¬â¢s husband went off to fight and raid. In 1760 she visits her English family one last time. Her husband dies a few years later and she lives with her two daughters and her grandson. In 1771 she had a letter written to Stephen stating that she was well and hoped that he and his family were fine. She died in 1785 at the age of eighty-nine. This book adds a different take on the colonial period in America that I was never taught in school. I was always taught that the settlers in America were the ones that killed and berated the Indians. I never learned that the Indians in Canada had attacked the colonial settlers and brought them to Canada. The French and the English fighting is not a surprise, as everyone wants the best land they can find and will fight over it. I would not have thought that the French would go so far as to captivate New England citizens and ransom them off. With this piece of information it makes much more sense that the colonists would be mean to the Indians, as the Indians had caused their families to die and they had to pay large amounts of money to get their family back. Some may no t have been able to get family members back, or even see them. If you were to be kidnapped, your family taken, and ransomed offShow MoreRelatedHeld Captive by Indians in The Unredeemed Captive by John Demos1027 Words à |à 5 Pages The Unredeemed Captive published by Vintage on March 28, 1995.
